Sometimes we can't quite stop ourselves from wondering about the lifestyles of the rich and famous. While not everyone can afford huge haciendas and magnificent mansions, we can draw at least some inspiration from celebrity houses when planning our own.

Now, we're not suggesting that you aim for a replica of Trump Towers, but we do think you might find something magical in this list that you could incorporate into the design of your own new home.

Jennifer Aniston

Okay, so we must confess that this gorgeous home was actually a rental. Jennifer Aniston lived in this spacious spa-like environment for around a year. Featuring an absolutely gorgeous pool, outdoor kitchen, and his-and-hers bathroom, this remarkable home is certainly inspiring. If that isn't enough to convince you, throw in the temperature-controlled wine room and we think you have a small slice of heaven on earth.

Renee Zellweger

We absolutely love the understated elegance of Renee Zellweger's Conneticut home. There is something so comforting about the look of this home - it's nowhere near as "show-offy" as one would expect from a Hollywood celebrity. Frankly, this house is perfectly suited to the star's gentle personality.

Kim Kardashian

It's hardly surprising that at least one of the Kardashian's would find themselves on this list. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West fixed up this French Country style mansion for just over $21 million. It's a hefty price tag, that's for sure, but we absolutely love the European vibe this home has going on. It's warm, open, and with 7 bedrooms is probably spacious enough for several families.

Celine Dion

Celine Dion's amazing home features a mini waterpark and a host of crystal clear swimming pools. When it comes to maximizing fun and R&R, this celebrity clearly knows her stuff. After a particularly rough day we can just imagine her enjoying a chilled out trip down the lazy river, recharging before her next big event.

Rihanna

Rihanna's Hollywood Hills home certainly does "shine bright like a diamond". It's not ridiculously enormous, but it definitely does sparkle. We love the openness in design, and the glorious windows overlooking one of the most beautiful pools we've ever seen.
